A healthy baby boy

| | Comments (0)
I have an excellent OB/GYN. After a very difficult first pregnancy I found out I was pregnant again 4 years later. My OB/GYN took excellent care of me and was always there for any questions or concerns I had. We made it to almost full term and I had my son at 38 weeks, as healthy as can be!

Avoiding complications

When I was giving birth to my first child my doctor was extremely fast in noticing that there was a complication and took immediate action. Without his expertise there could have been several complications during birth that he was able to avoid.

Language barrier

Went into a hospital to see a friend's aging grandmother. She was in there for dialysis. She doesn't speak English and the doctors and nurses there were extremely patient when I requested to translate for the patient word by word.

Willing to help

My doctor has been honest with me. If he doesn't know, he will say so, and he will find me someone who does. I never have to try to figure out what kind of specialist I need...he is more than willing to help.

He takes me seriously

My general doctor has ALWAYS listened to everything I have come in for, and takes everything seriously, even if I think it might sound stupid, he never makes me feel stupid and always makes sure that any tests are done that need to be done to reassure him and me that everything is ok.

A breath of fresh air

Hospice ... they are the most caring, awesome and giving organization that I can imagine. When faced with the sad and grim reality of a love one's death, they are a breath of fresh air as they lovingly make the burden lighter.

Double billing

| | Comments (0)
Billing issues have to be one of the most frustrating things to deal with. I was charged for a medical exam twice on two consecutive months. I contacted my credit card company about disputing the second charge, but the medical facility caught the error on its own and sent a refund check. If only billing would work so smoothly all the time!

Sticker shock

I recently needed to get a prescription filled, and I went to a local CVS, only to find that the medicine that had been prescribed was going to cost me approx. 100 dollars!! The pharmacist called the doctor promptly and had him prescribe a different medicine that would do the same job for a lower cost. It was all so quickly and easily done, and I was very relieved!
